The Design Big Bang gets shared!

The latest edition of NiTRO (July 2021) is an Australian-wide contribution from designers and design scholars.

My recent idea around the Design Big Bang has now been shared via the article I wrote about the expectation amongst the design research community that Australia may take a lead in climate action, particularly given it is feeling the effects directly through bushfire and flood.

The politicians are in climate denial as they support the extraction industries but not the innovation ecosystem that might bring about radical, positive change.

This is also a country that seems to think that now is the right time to award AI engines the right to patent co-authorship! It seems we are following the promise of modernity just at the time that the rest of the world has realised that technocratic futures are less desirable.
